The 2019 edition of Toscana Arcobaleno d’Estate has the theme of ‘A genial holiday’, a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci during the 500th anniversary year of his death. The initiatives will take place from 20 to 23 June.
On Friday 31 May, in the La Nazione auditorium (viale Giovine Italia 17), in Florence, the seventh edition of the initiative was presented, which is promoted by Regione Toscana, with the support of Toscana Promozione Turistica and Fondazione Sistema Toscana, and the involvement of the newspaper La Nazione, Anci Toscana and Ente Bilaterale Turismo Toscano e delle Categorie Economiche.
The aim is to plan and promote summer holidays and staying in Tuscany with a dash of genius to best valorize the region’s food, wine, art, culture, nature and creativity. The initiatives during the Arcobaleno weekend will be promoted via the social media channels of Arcobaleno d’Estate and all the activities will be communicated thanks to the partnership with the newspaper La Nazione.
The events not to be missed begin on 20 June in Florence, with a packed programme of entertainment and top food and wine, which will culminate in the “Arcobaleno” (“rainbow”) fireworks. There’s the Stadio concert on 21 June in Forte dei Marmi and the night in Camaiore on 22 June, during the Arcobaleno d’Estate event, with Radio2 Summer Live coming to Tuscany for the first time. The showcase moves to Pistoia on the evening of 22 June, followed by a night of art, culture and taste in Arezzo on Sunday 23 June in the wonderful location on the lawn between the cathedral and the Medici fortress to close the events.
