Trattoria Del Pesce came about in October of 1984 aiming to bring seafood tastes into the hills of Chianti. It is located in Bargino, a tiny town in the comune of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, halfway between Florence and Siena. La Trattoria is based on a type of cuisine known for product quality; ingredients are carefully chosen daily by the chefs Miranda Parrini and Lorenzo Corsini. Their concept of preparation is based on strictly fresh ingredients, and knowledge of raw materials and ingredients is essential.
Being family-operated creates an environment that’s informal, but also elegant and pleasant. Service is skilled, punctual and attentive. The place is decorated quite simply, and consists of three different rooms: the smallest room is ideal for couples or anyone looking for a more intimate setting. The second room is a bit more eclectic and the third room is well-suited for dinners for various special occasions or simply ‘just because.’ In the summertime, in the evenings, a special veranda is opened with a beautiful backdrop of the Chianti hills.
