Hostaria del Ceccottino, close to the Piccola Gerusalemme bell tower, can’t wait to introduce you to the genuine and traditional foods and flavours of the Maremma region. Dishes made from historical recipes make for new and unforgettable experiences.
The restaurant serves traditional local dishes, some with rural origins and others with a Jewish heritage – thanks to the important Jewish community which lived in Pitigliano for hundreds of years.  
Priority is given to fresh, local produce – from not further than 50km away. Our menu includes 100% certified local Maremmana and Chianina Florentine steaks; dishes made from sheep’s ricotta such as the traditional gnudi and tortelli stuffed with ricotta and nettles with fresh truffle. There are locally produced and Cinta Senese salamis, as well as classic local soups, such as acquacotta – a soup made with chickpeas and Onano lentils – and a soup of ricotta and spinach. There are also several dishes which are recognised by the Slow Food movement, such as the tagliatelle pasta with Orbetello bottarga (dried fish roe) and the Sfratto Pitiglianese – a Jewish dessert made with walnuts and honey. Prices range from €30 to €45.
