From Friday April 24, restaurants and food-serving bars in Tuscany will be able to sell food to take away. The regional ordinance, no. 41, was signed by Tuscan President Enrico Rossi.
Takeaway sales, which all bars and restaurants are allowed to trade in, must be ordered online or by phone.
Bars that sell food must guarantee that the customer entrance be used only by patrons who have ordered in advance. This is to avoid crowds both outside and inside, where only one customer will be allowed at a time. Each client must spend only as much time inside the venue as is absolutely necessary to collect and pay for their order. For restaurants, meanwhile, all consumption on the premises remains suspended.
