The Kyle Phillips 2020 journalism award is a recognition announced by Aset – Associazione Stampa Enogastroagroalimentare Toscana to remember their friend and colleague Kyle Phillips, who died prematurely in 2013. The award given annually and now in its seventh edition, is intended for young journalists who best represent Kyle Phillips’ way of providing 360° information with an absolute lack of prejudice, a great professional curiosity, serenity of judgment, desire to explore, frankness, brilliance in writing and seriousness in behavior.
All journalists enrolled in the Order of Journalists are (self) eligible once they are under 35 years of age on 31/12/2020. Their work must deal with wine, food and wine, food, nutrition, agriculture, food or catering. Applications and self-nominations – with a necessary justification and preferably accompanied by supporting material and / or professional curriculum – must be sent by Tuesday 20 October 2020 to Premiokyle@gmail.com. The winner will be announced after sufficient analysis at the sole discretion of the management of Aset, with a list of names composed of colleagues identified by the board itself, or reported by colleagues or self-nominated.
The Kyle Phillips 2020 award plaque will be awarded at a ceremony scheduled for December (confirmation communication will follow). If Tuscan, the winner will be co-opted into Aset; if not Tuscan, however, he will obtain the qualification of honorary member.
