A design-led winery, picture-perfect scenery, a glass of fine wine: what more do you need for a perfect summer night? A special film!
ProViaggiArchitettura and Toscana Wine Architecture, the region-wide project supported by Vetrina Toscana, in partnership with Milano Design Film Festival, present: “In wine the truth”, a series of evenings blending three passions: wine, architecture and cinema. A continuum between the first and the seventh arts with a dash of fine wine in a non-neutral setting that contributes to the meaning of the films.
From July 25 to October 15, the wineries belonging to the Toscana Wine Architecture network will screen films about architecture. The evenings include a guided tour of the winery, a tasting of wines and local specialities and the screening of a film about architecture.
July 25 is the first date at Salcheto in Montepulciano with “Bauhaus Spirit: 100 Years of Bauhaus” by Niels Bolbrinker and Thomas Tielsch; August 2, at Caiarossa, in Riparbella, with “Fallingwater. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Masterpiece” by Kenneth Love; August 8, at Rocca di Frassinello, in Gavoranno, with “Il potere dell’archivio. Renzo Piano Building Workshop” by Francesca Molteni; and August 22 at Petra, in Suvereto, with “My Architect: il viaggio di un figlio” by Nathaniel Kahn; August 29, at Cantina di Montalcino, with “Palladio” by Giacomo Gatti; September 6, at Fattorie delle Ripalte on Elba Island with “Tobia Scarpa. L’anima segreta delle cose” by Elia Romanelli, and “Volevo essere Walt Disney” (Alessandro Mendini) by Francesca Molteni; October 15, at Colle Massari, in Cinigiano with “Modern Tide: Midcentury Architecture on Long Island” by Jake Gorst.
